It's All About Mud

Apparently we didn't get enough mud during our trek through the Alakai swamp, so we decided to experience mud in a different way. Instead of sinking in mud nearly to our knees, we decided we wanted to be sprayed with high-velocity mud from head to toe.

It was actually all Sean's fault. He saw a presentation by one of the groups at our condo where they showed photos of ATV tours, and after we got back to our room, he told Doug he wanted to ride in one of those "race cars".

We tried to tell him it wasn't a race car, that it was a bumpy road through the mud and sugar cane fields, that it wouldn't be any fun at all, but we couldn't convince him.

So, we went on the ATV tour. I always thought that usually people go to Hawaii and come back with photos of everyone at the beach. For our family this year, it all seems to be about mud.
