Good Times For A Good Cause

It's that time of year again, where we get into the car and drive 500 miles north to spend a long weekend on the Monterey Bay with an ocean view.

We always have a great time. There's golf, good weather, good food, good friends, and a good time with our family.

And all the good times are for a good cause. The Jordan and Kyra Memorial Golf Tournament raises over $100,000 every year that is earmarked for pediatric brain tumor research and services to support the families of kids with cancer.

So the kids and Doug golfed, we stuffed ourselves at the banquet, we bid on the items in the silent auction.

There were lots and lots of kids, they played, they swam in the pool, it was noisy and wonderful.

Doug's parents took advantage of the fact that his siblings and their families and significant others were all in the same place at the same time and scheduled an early celebration of his dad's 70th birthday.

And we stuffed ourselves all over again. Food is good.
