Fixing Her Broken Heart

I stayed with my mom at the hospital until around 1 am this morning. She "put her face on" before she went to sleep just in case she wouldn't have time to do it during pre-op.

We hung out with her in pre-op and they let us escort her to the operating room. As always, she was looking great and was in great spirits.

Her mitral valve had multiple defects, so it wasn't repairable and now she's got a pig valve. She's out of surgery and the doctor said that everything went well.

We saw them wheel her out of the operating room, she's still intubated but in the next hour or so they'll work at getting her breathing on her own.

Her eyelids were taped closed but her eye shadow was still intact.
