Making Wishes Come True
Sean and the Indian Guides in Catalina
Doug and Sean were gone for the weekend. They took a boat to Catalina Island for a weekend of camping, hiking and male bonding with the Indian Guides.
Our family with Jeremy and Ginny, our wish granters
When they returned home, we met our wish granters from Make-A-Wish, Jeremy and Ginny, at Sammy's Woodfired Pizza restaurant for dinner.
Steven with our yummy Messy Sundae dessert
Gourmet pizza, yummy salads and pasta, we love Sammy's, which is where Doug, Steven and I were eating dinner about 6 hours before I went into labor with Sean. I was so large I couldn't fit into the booth they tried to seat us in. The very last thing I ate before Sean was born was a Sammy's Messy Sundae.
The dinner was courtesy of Make-A-Wish, but Sammy's comp'ed the entire bill and decorated the table when they found out what the occasion was.
Sean with a new use for the gift bag
Ginny and Jeremy are volunteers who help coordinate wishes for kids in our area with life-threatening illnesses. They presented us with a detailed itinerary of our trip next week, some spending money, and a load of gifts for us and the kids.
Polar-bear themed puzzles, stuffed animals, photo albums, keychains, T-shirts. It was awesome.
We still have about a million last minute things to do to get ready, but we are so excited.
