Feeling Better...

Steven is feeling better. As a matter of fact, he's feeling a lot better, the best he's been since the chemo started.

No fever at all today (Sunday). For the first time since all the nasty drugs started, he's eating. He's gone two whole days now without throwing up, and is down to just zofran to control the nausea, no ativan. He might even be OK without the zofran, but we don't want to take any chances. He gained something like a pound and a half yesterday, we expect something like that again when they weigh him tomorrow.

No matter how well he's doing, we expect they will keep him until his blood counts are up, probably the end of this week. His spirits were noticably better today also. I'm trying to convince them to start withdrawing the TPN while he's eating so well, as well or better than he ever does right now.

He got a unit of blood today also for low hemoglobin, and another unit of platelets. He sure looks good right now :-)
