Time For Summer

Now that we are five weeks into what is turning out to be the hottest summer in Southern California on record, I guess it's time to write about the end of school.

Steven's report card this year speaks for itself. I cried when his teacher handed it to me.

Steven's academic recovery from a year of aggressive cancer treatments is nothing short of miraculous. A year ago I wouldn't have believed it possible. I stand humbled and grateful.

Sean's academic style is to figure out the absolute minimum effort needed to get a good grade and to expend no more than that minimum. He doesn't want his academic pursuits to get in the way of a good football game.

Our kids love their school and we are blessed to have had great teachers and a supportive staff that is genuinely interested in seeing them succeed.
But right now it's just time for summer.
